Since the beginning of CARTOCON in 2012, our objective was to draw inspiration from our own personal lives. This is always at the forefront of our design process.
For this release of BLM charity tees we wanted to look back at one of the designs we released in December 2019, which was the CARTOCON version of my Dad’s Workers Union t-shirt from the 80’s. I was born, raised & lived in Cape Town until 2006. My entire family still live in South Africa today. My parents fought against apartheid in order to give their children a better future. Fighting for equal rights & justice has been apart of mine & my family’s life for generations.
We stand against racism. We cannot stay silent. We have to stand together to fight the racist & prejudice system in the USA, UK & the rest of the world. We believe that we have to do everything in our power to actively help by educating ourselves, protesting, voting & donating where possible.
We have now released two CARTOCON t-shirts available to pre-order until 14/06/2020. 100% of the profits from these tees will be donated to Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights Scotland and Black Lives Matter.
